Holy Christmas Cards Batman!

It’s almost time for our annual dysfunctional documentation.

You got it, family picture time! I try really hard to come up with something original for our annual Christmas cards. And by original, I don’t just mean something different than the year before. No way.

I’m talking: Totally. Completely. One-of-a-kind. Pull my pants down and spank my ass, different.

Here are two of the photos from our past Christmas cards.

Now…here’s the problem. I NEED IDEAS! - need need need - I’m totally stumped on what to do this year, and I’m running out of time! So here’s my question: Do you have any ideas for an off the wall, family photo? Of course, it can’t have some ridiculous budget. It has to be pretty simple and affordable.

So let me have it. Share your suggestions.

What about 1940s or 1950s...period dress....family out for a stroll.
Or old cemetary.....with the elaborate headstones. Maybe digging a grave? Maybe digging up a grave....

My idea for you: showcase celebrating your first Christmas as a stay-at-home-dad (by the way, I completely and totally applaud you!) and have a photo of you making cookies in your kitchen with your new mixer-- with adoring wife and son looking on!!!! I'm sure you can figure out a way to make it fun and unique!

I'm still waiting to see the pink paint on something...maybe a pink table to mix the cookies on??? ;)

Hilarious! My Mom gets our family together every year on Thanksgiving for a Christmas Card photo. I love your idea to do something really of the chart funny! I wonder if Mom will ever go for that? Good luck coming up with something original but I must say that I LOVE Anne's idea!!

Oooo, I just found your blog! Love it. I love Anne's idea too. And how do I get on your Christmas Card mailing list? Judging from past years, I'd say they're keepers.
