I’m not talking about the Little Orphan. I’m talking about the real Annie. Annie Sloan! *insert happy dance*
My shipment of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint showed up today. I was already painting, so I haven’t used it yet. I also ordered 2 of Annie’s books Quick and Easy Paint Transformations and Creating the French Look. They’re on their way, so I may wait until I have a chance to look at them before digging into the ASCP. Waiting will be so hard! But I don’t want to waste it!
I’ll be sure to post an update, pictures, whatever, as soon as I have a chance to use it. On a side note, the piece I painted today was an experiment. I used the technique of adding non-sanded grout to the paint. It went on really thick. And the coverage was great! But it was rough. I’ll sand it tomorrow. Hopefully soon, I’ll be able to compare the two.
If you’d like to read about the other technique, visit Sherry at No Minimalist. Make sure to read all the comments as well. Lots of good info. Oh, one more thing. I ordered my ASCP through Lady Butterbug. She had the cheapest prices I could find anywhere online. And the shipment was here in 3 days!! So if you’re going to order, give her a visit.
